Macondo house is a small, warm and friendly hotel in Ushuaia, with great views across the town, the mountains and the Beagle Channel. Close to downtown, the staff is friendly and bilingual and the rooms are simply and attractively decorated (white linens, wood floors, full bathrooms) - the style is fresh, clean and young. Many of the rooms have views. The living room, with fireplace, is a great place to hang out and simply gaze at the views of the Beagle Channel. There is wireless internet throughout the house and the owner is very helpful with local information, restaurant choices, tours to take, etc. A buffet breakfast is prepared, and the hotel can arrange transfers to and from the airport and other locations.

Beautiful little hotel, very friendly staff, well located walkable to everything in Ushuaia dontown area, great breakfast and internet service; rooms were large and clean and the laundry service was very much appreciated by us after quite a while on the road.
