In the quiet, vast countryside in the middle of a landscape of astonishing beauty, a short distance from the summer village of Tafi del Valle, is Estancia Las Carreras. In the province of Tucumán, in northwestern Argentina, this is a land framed by majestic peaks of 8,500 to 14,704 feet - a magical place with a great sense of history. Las Carreras was built by the Jesuits around 1718 and it is one of the oldest estancias in the valley. La Estancia was enlarged and renovated to meet the needs of travellers, but the property retains its authenticity. There are ten rooms, 4 doubles and 6 triples, (each with full bathroom) that are decorated in local textiles in natural colours (walnut, saffron, lavender) and comfortable furniture. Wood, stone and natural tile are used throughout and the rooms have a delightful warmth to them. The restaurant serves good food, with a selection of international and regional dishes. The Estancia is very proud of its cheese - for nine generations it has been produced in this location. The dairy is the most modern and productive in the region. On the farm there is also cultivation of potatoes, strawberries, oats and alfalfa. This is a perfect location for outdoor activities - hiking, horseriding, polo, or just exploring this fascinating area and its history. Thousands of visitors visit Tafí del Valle during Holy Week for the celebrations and the 'The Passion of Tafí del Valle' passion play.

Hotel's chef invites you to the restaurant where you could taste the best gastronomy. You can eat International and regional food, which are made with their cheese and potatoes. Sweets and cakes made in home. 7 to 20 USD
Notes Check In 15 pm and Check Out at 12 am. Take day trips to the Morro Negro Hill El Pelao, to Quebrada Del Portuguese, Alder's Fall, the old fortress. Enjoy wandering around the farm and the plantation. Trekking, mountain biking, horseriding, 4 x 4, 9 hole golf course nearby, polo field.

Inns of Argentina will take a 15 % non-refundable deposit upon confirming your reservation. If you cancel your reservation 30 days or more prior to reservation date, full amount of stay will be credited for a future reservation. If cancelled 30 days of less prior to arrival, the hotel will charge a penalty of 50% of the total cost and 50% will be credited for a future reservation. No-show, full amount of stay will be charged.
