At the foot of the mountains in the heart of Patagonia is the town of San Martin de los Andes, the location of the small inn, La Casa de Eugenia. With just four rooms (three double and one triple suite), that are decorated with European flair and the bright colours of southern Patagonia and some antique furniture. The rooms (and the whole house) feel cosy and comfortable - a home away from home. Each room has its own private bathroom (and there is a telephone and wi-fi in each room also). Start the day with a continental breakfast in the dining room with pleasant views of the hotel’s park-like surroundings. The afternoon brings traditional teatime when an assortment of home made pastries and breads are served. Early in the evening traditional Argentinian Picada (a variety of hors d'oeuvres) are served. You are just a short distance from many restaurants located in San Martin where you will find a wide range of international and Argentinian food served. Throughout the day you will be able to relax as much as you like sipping spiced wine by the fireplace or watching a movie in the media room. There are many outdoor activities possible in San Martin de los Andes -- in the winter skiing is the main activity; in the fall you may hunt (a variety of game including red stag) and in the spring and summer enjoy Argentina’s world famous trout fishing. Trekking, horseback riding and white-water rafting are also in the area.
