Located between Los Glaciares National Park and El Calafate, the Hosteria Alta Vista is part of the Estancia Anita, the largest sheep farm in the area (165,000 acres). In an area of steppes, plateaux, volcanic extrusions, forests and endless vistas - this is Patagonia at its most interesting. The inn has seven rooms - seven standard twin rooms and one queen bedded room. All of the decoration is simple and cosy, but using rich fabrics for the bedspreads and with fine bedlinens. All rooms have a big window that faces a tree-covered hill to the west. The ensuite bathrooms have a bath-tub. The dining room, with wooden furniture, can seat twenty people. The reception area has a bar with comfortable puma leather chairs overlooking the garden. There are many outdoor activities possible from the Inn. Guided horse-back riding is within the farm area and rides range from short excursions to day-long rides in the steep Andean mountains via old cattle paths and the forest, always with the breathtaking mountain range and Perito Moreno glacier in the background. These excursions can also be done on foot. For trekking and summit lovers there is mountain climbing. Only fifty metres from the inn, ibis or bandurrias nest in the summer - they are migratory birds that arrive in October and leave in April. There are many native birds in the area around the inn. Mountain bikes are available and, for those interested in fishing, the inn has fishing equipment (spinning and fly fishing).

Cancellation Policy:
Inns of Argentina will take a 15% non-refundable deposit at the time of confirming your reservation. There is no charge from the hotel if cancelled 30 days before arrival. If the cancellation is received between 15 and 29 days prior to arrival, the hotel will charge 30% of the entire cost. In case of cancellation between 8 and 14 days prior to arrival, 60% of entire cost will be taken. If cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival, full amount of stay will be charged.
