The Vinas de Cafayate Wine Resort is located on vineyards at the foot of the impressive San Isidro Hill in Cafayate, one of the most important wine regions in South America. In this small colonical town there are vineyards and wine cellars galore - a wonderful location from which to explore the best that Argentina has to offer in wines. The Wine Resort has twelve double rooms (with twin or queen size beds), triple and single, each with a private bathroom with bathtub, walk-in closet, heating and a safe-deposit box. The deluxe rooms also have air conditioning. The rooms have access to a spacious covered balcony overlooking the vineyards, granite hills, and Cafayate Canyon. There is a comfortable lounge with fireplace and library, an interior courtyard, a swimming pool and spacious solarium inthe garden. The staff are multi-lingual and will be pleased to help you plan your excursions. Breakfast is included in the price of your room. The delightful gourmet restaurant (open to the public) is under the watchful eye of chef Carlos Manuel Amante (who used to be with La Ventana restaurant, San Telmo). The cuisine is regional and international with, of course, an exceptional winelist of local wines. The garden grows its own organic vegetables. Cafayate takes two hours by plane from Buenos Aires and is a two and a half hour drive from the city of Salta. Note that Easter and Christmas week are high season.

Our Feedback
Rating: Excellent “Liked: Very nice location a bit outside of town right next to the wine yard.
Rooms are very spacious including a nice terrace and a common pool.
Check out at 12PM is really nice, so you don't have to rush.
Good breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner as well. Didn't Like: The room prices are rather expensive and some information about what to do in Cafayate would have been helpful.”
