Miravida Soho is located on a tree-lined, cobblestone street, in a restored 1930’s mansion in the very heart of Palermo Soho, a few short blocks from the ever popular Plazas Armenia and Serrano, which are lined with cafes and restaurants. Palermo Soho has rapidly turned into the hippest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, full of local fashion designers’ and artesans’ shops, art galleries, small theatres, trendy (and traditional) restaurants, nightclubs and bars, all mixed in with private houses and apartments. Soho has a very bohemian feel, and everything one could possibly need can be found within a few minutes’ walk.
Although the original neo-classical style has been retained, the entire hotel has been fitted with all of the modern amenities that one would expect to find in a first class, modern hotel. The hotel features a roof top deck, imported Spanish porcelain tiles, ebony hardwood floors, cast iron balconies, private terraces, elevator, flower filled courtyard, flat screen tv’s, wi-fi, air-conditioning, private bathrooms, walk-in showers, large windows and french doors and the top floor loft rooms have 12 foot high cathedral ceilings. The four rooms overlooking the sun-filled courtyard all feature oversized french doors that open to private balconies. Courtyard 3 is just slightly larger than Courtyard 2, and it has a bigger balcony and bathroom. Loft 5 is not as large as Loft 6, and so it is better suited to single travellers or couples who don't need a lot extra space. The two top floor courtyard lofts have spectacular 12 foot cathedral ceilings, and Courtyard Loft 6 has a skylight in the large bathroom and a great view over the rooftops of the city. The Terrace Loft is the best room in the hotel, with huge, arched French doors that open to large private terrace (suitable for dining or suntanning) which overlooks the treetops and the plaza in front of the hotel. The bathroom has an over-sized walk-in shower, and there is a claw-foot bathtub under one of the arched windows.
The Suite has two rooms that overlook the plaza, and comes equipped with a king sized bed and a high quality sofa bed, making it suitable for families with children or couples and singles wishing to share a room but maintain privacy.
Meal Information
The menu at the wine bar ranges from tapas in the evenings to grilled panini and fresh salads at lunchtime. We also offer full breakfasts (included in the cost of the room for all guests), from eggs and bacon to muesli, fresh fruit and yogurt.
Notes
Jorge Newbury airport which serves all domestic routes in Argentina (Salta, Mendoza, Bariloche, Iguazu Falls, etc.) is less than 10 minutes away by taxi.
The subway is 6 short blocks away, as are the zoo, La Rural convention center, the Botanical Gardens, Palermo Hollywood and the bosques of Palermo, a beautiful park that is as large as New York’s Central Park.
