Hosteria Kaiken

Kaikén is simply lovely, with a privileged view of Lake Fagnano and surrounded by a magnificent landscape of mountains and woods of ñires, near the town of Tolhuin and located just off the National Route 3. The inn was built in the 60s to provide refuge and fuel to those passing by the now paved road that connects Rio Grande and Ushuaia. Abandoned for many years, this small inn was fully restored and reopened in 2004. There are 10 rooms on two floors, plus a two bedroom apartment ideal for families and 5 cabins with 2 bedrooms each. The rooms are simply decorated and clean, with lots of natural light. The rooms on the ground floor have a small terrace and hydromassage and the rooms on the first floor have a small balcony. Most of the rooms have lake views, except for the apartment. Shelk’nam as its restaurant is named, offers renamed dishes of regional and international cuisine while enjoying an unparalleled view of the lake. There is also a bar with a nice fireplace where you can enjoy a drink.
