This traditional hacienda, which dates back to the 18th century and was home to the last governor of Salta appointed by the King of Spain, has been skilfully refurbished and updated while maintaining the essence of the original colonial building. The eighteen rooms at Hacienda de Molinos are standard and superior. Each room has heating and a private bathroom equipped with a bathtub, a shower and a hairdryer. Standard rooms are arranged around the pepper tree patio and around the second main patio of the hacienda. A view of the CalchaquĆ River and the imposing reddish mountains in the backyard can be enjoyed. The superior rooms have rustic decor is in sharp contrast to design details. These rooms have been furnished with luxury and good taste, with pieces exclusively made for the hotel by local artisans. All the rooms are spacious and appealing. The patio shaded with the pepper tree, the thick walls made of adobe, the iron window bars and the ceilings made of carob tree and reed are some of the charming details adding character to the building. Molinos used to be part of the historic Inca Road - and its streets are still romantically lit by lanterns. Enjoy the tranquillity of the location on a high plateau, the friendliness of the local people and the many services of the hotel. The restaurant serves regional Andean cuisine accompanied by an excellent winelist. There is a swimming pool with views of the snow-capped Cachi mountains. Excusions and horseback riding can be organized from the hotel. There is free wifi internet access, and transfer service to/from the airport can be arranged. Click to make a request for this hotel
