Where	Salta is located in the North-West of Argentina in the Lerma valley 1182 metres above sea level. For all its beauty, history and colonial architecture, the city of Salta is know as “La Linda” (“The beautiful”).
When	The weather in Salta is warm and dry with an average temperature of 26° C in summer and 10°C in winter. January and February are the months with greatest rainfall. March is a great time to visit.
Why	The Province holds different attractions with a variety of landscapes ranging from the desert to the jungle and from fertile valleys to high mountains and rivers. From the city there are a variety of excursions available: whether it is to the red-rock formations of the Valles Calchaquies, or the spectacular mountain views from the high plateau of “La puna”. The small suburb of San Lorenzo is an ideal destination for a short excursion.
Accommodation	Our hotels in Salta area are located within walking distance from the main touristic places. They are all small hotels with character, most of them redesigned houses in the old part of the city. Most have no garage of their own, but have agreements with private garages nearby. Only a few kilometers from the city center, the hotels and fincas in the countryside offer nature and tradition, while still only being a short drive to Salta. There is much to enjoy in Salta: the traditional empanadas, tamales, humitas and locro - traditional northwestern dishes.
