The most southerly edge of the continent. As you journey through Patagonia you will understand the magic, legend and adventure for which the region is renowned. To the West, the Andes mark the natural border between Argentina and Chile, where icy rivers descend to incredible glaciers. El Calafate, a small town located on the shore of Lago Argentino in the patagonic steppe, is the starting point to visit Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. South, in Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, is Ushuaia where the streets, forests and mountains all seem to end at the sea - Argentineans call it the World’s End. The charm of Tierra del Fuego is its solitude and raw nature. |
