Tipiliuke Lodge

Tipiliuke is a special place at the foot of the Andes mountain range, in the middle of Andean Patagonia just a few kilometres from the city of San Martín de los Andes where you can enjoy the diversity of snow, sun and outside activities year-round. Tipiliuke forms part of the 20,000 hectare Cerro de los Pinos country estate founded in 1909 by the grandfather of the current owners. Since it is still a fully working farm guests can participate in harnessing the animals and take part in other rural tasks with the farm workers, or just relax in the beautiful surroundings. The tree sanctuary, unique in the province due to its size and wide diversity of tree species, is a magic place as is the 6 hectare tree nursery surrounded by the crystalline waters of the Chimehuín and Quilquihue rivers. Accommodation is in three houses, The Tipiliuke Lodge, Casa de Pablo and Mayal (with a total of fourteen guestrooms). The Lodge is located near the main estancia area and has six comfortable rooms (all ensuite of course), a dining room and bar. You can enjoy the sauna in the house. Casa de Pablo is at the edge of the Chimehuin river (1.5 miles from the main ranch area). It has three double bedrooms with private bathrooms, living and dining room and a winter garden. This is perfect for families or groups of friends. Mayal is a large stone house that is self contained with 3 bedrooms and its own outdoor swimming pool. The main lodge has a spacious sitting room with large windows, high wooden ceilings and pastel coloured sofas and in the guestrooms the rustic, comfortable decor blends harmoniously with the spectacular landscape. This is the perfect place to enjoy horseback riding. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, everything you need is provided. The horses are thoroughbred and percheron and you can ride for a few hours or all day. Cuisine: Refined local dishes prepared with ingredients grown in the hotel´s kitchen garden and accompanied by high quality Argentinian wines. Typical dishes include: smoked venison, trout, roast meat, vegetables and fruit grown on the estate.
