Posada Camino Real

This hotel is found on the old path that the Spanish conquerors used on their way to Alto Perú, near the Jesuit dwellings declared part of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity. A short distance away, guests can visit the Jesuit Estancias of Santa Catalina, Jesús María and Colonia Caroya, declared World Heritage Property by the UNESCO in the year 2000, because of its cultural value. Immersed in fascinating natural landscape, it enjoys a privileged highland microclimate. Individual houses, tastefully decorated by Cecilia and Antonio, are distributed around a large swimming pool, and surrounded by leafy gardens. Rustic materials such as wood and clay predominate and are accompanied by the eternal charm of an open fire. The Lodge has its own vegetable garden and farm that supply the restaurant with the freshest of organic food. Attention to detail abounds, like the picnic baskets provided to enjoy a picnic by a nearby river or stream. There are just five double rooms and three suites. The chefs that work at the Camino Real Pousada are from prestigious schools (lunches and dinners cost approximately $20).
